for our 75th Anniversary Celebration!

The St. Paul Figure Skating Club is thrilled to announce plans for our 75th Anniversary Celebration!  On Saturday April 9, 2011, we will be presenting an afternoon skating show at St. Paul's Pleasant Arena, highlighting the decades gone by and featuring both current and past St. Paul FSC members.  Our dream is to recreate the famous 1930-1960 St. Paul Pops Concert during which spectators watched skaters performing to live orchestra music! We would love to share this event with the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra if the funds can be raised to do this.

Following the show, we will be hosting an evening gala at the St. Paul Auditorium, the place where it all began 75 years ago.  The gala event includes dinner, a video montage of skating memories, memorabilia from decades of figure skating history, and a silent auction to benefit Minnesota Skating Scholarship.
